ALEXIS LANGEVIN-TÉTRAULT

It’s with great pleasure that Sporobole will host Alexis Langevin-Tétrault during a two-week residency. Alexis is the winner of the Sporobole Residency Contest that was open to students at Université de Montréal’s digital music sector. During the residency, Alexis will compose a new multichannel work for Sporobole’s Sound Window which is comprised of 16 outdoors speakers.

Alexis Langevin-Tétrault is a composer and performance artist. His current work is comprised of synthetic sounds, multiphonic sound diffusion systems, performance devices, and his conceptual research centres on the refinement of sound. He has taken part in several electrouacoustics and electronics music projects such as QUADr, Falaises, Alexeï Kawolski, BetaFeed and Recepteurz. He studies electroacoustic music at Université de Montréal, under Robert Normandeau and Nicolas Bernier. He collaborates to the design of multiphonic diffusion systems in a spatial immersion research group lead by Robert Normandeau. His work has been presented in several festivals, such as ISEA, MUTEK, Futura, MNM, BIAN and TIES. He was awarded prizes by Fondation Destellos in 2014 and in 2015 as well as by the SOCAN Foundation in 2015.
