RASBERRY PI WORKSHOP (ARCHIVE)

Raspberry Pi Workshop
(1 session of 7 hours)

Trainer: Philippe-Aubert Gauthier

The Raspberry Pi is an ARM-processor-based single-board nanocomputer designed by video game creator David Braben, as part of his Raspberry Pi Foundation. This computer, which is the size of a credit card, can run several variants of the free GNU/Linux operating system and compatible software. It is supplied naked (motherboard only, without case, power supply, keyboard, mouse or monitor) in order to reduce costs and allow the use of recovery hardware. This computer is intended to encourage the learning of computer programming. However, it is open and powerful enough to allow a wide range of uses. The training will present this new type of computer by showing examples of use in the context of digital arts (installation, visual and sound projection, etc.).

As part of this training, Sporobole will offer participants the opportunity to create their own custom Raspberry Pi configuration by purchasing the various peripherals required (keyboard, mini screen, memory cards, etc.) (group purchase will be organized by Sporobole). Participants will then be able to enjoy their own Raspberry Pi after the training.
